About the tour
Stretching over 3,000 kilometers from north to south, Japan offers an extraordinary range of climates and landscapes—from snowy Hokkaido to the subtropical southern islands. Nearly 75% of the country is mountainous, with forests that host diverse wildlife, including Japanese macaques, Steller’s sea eagles, and Japanese cranes.
Your journey begins in Izumi, Kyushu, where you’ll meet your group and witness thousands of cranes wintering in local paddy fields. It ends in eastern Hokkaido, exploring the remote, wildlife-rich Shiretoko Peninsula by chartered bus.
Traveling the country by public transport, you’ll cover nearly 3,000 kilometers, stopping for two nights each in Kyoto, the historic imperial capital, and Tokyo, Japan’s vibrant modern hub. This adventure offers a unique opportunity to experience Japan’s stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage across its dramatically varied landscape.
